We're into our second week back housesitting in Th

We're into our second week back housesitting in The Hague (or Den Haag) already. It's a really nice place to be right now because there's so much space to wander around without crowds and it's right by the beach, including quieter sections where you can stay out of the way of everyone.

There are also cycle paths literally everywhere including out of the city so we don't need use public transport at all. Plus it's normal for cafes and restaurants to have lots of outdoor seating anyway. Just like last time there's such a relaxing vibe here that you don't want to do anything strenuous 😅

We weren't planning on going anywhere for the rest of the year but since our friends needed someone to watch their cats and the @eurostar now stops at Rotterdam (which is very near The Hague) as well as Amsterdam, it was a nice way to go somewhere without flying. The Eurostar experience was great, with seats left between all the customers and mandatory masks.

Overall it's been really positive and the change of scenery has been so refreshing! Of all the places from last year we ended up revisiting I'm glad The Netherlands ended up being it.

Is there anything more tempting than cupcakes? We tried out some of the amazing offerings from @ladokiscupcakery who offer a range of fun and minature cupcakes including vegan and gluten free options.

They came beautifully packaged (see more in my story) and were genuinely amazing with gooey centres and delicious frosting. The salted caramel was my absolute favourite.
